Dr. Michael Alboro

Dr. Michael Alboro, a Middle Village native and current resident, attended and graduated from Our Lady of Hope school. Dr. Alboro completed his professional studies at Queens College, and received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life University in 1996.   After graduating Dr. Alboro practiced in Atlanta, Georgia for five years, but became home sick and wanted to move back to Middle Village. On April 1, 2002 he opened Ideal Health Chiropractic on Woodhaven Blvd.

Dr. Alboro has a passion for serving families especially children. Each year he is a local sponsor of Kids Day America -International. Kids Day America is an international day dedicated to children's health, safety, and environmental awareness. For the past two years, Kids Day has been held at 63-70 Woodhaven Blvd. on a Saturday in September from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm. During this day the New York City Police Department volunteered their time to finger print the children, the Fire Department brought their fire truck and taught the children fire safety tips, and Dr. Alboro provided finger printing ID kits, spinal exams, scoliosis screenings, and distributed vital information on disease prevention and specific health issues that affect children. Balloons, catered food, toys, and prizes were provided.  At the end of the day participants were given a chance to make donations to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. For the past two years, Dr. Alboro has received a proclamation from Mayor Bloomberg declaring Kids Day America/International an official day dedicated to helping children. The 2004 Kids Day event will be held on Saturday, September, 18 from 12-3pm. at 63-70 Woodhaven Boulevard. For more info about the event call (718) 898-8388.

Throughout the year Dr. Alboro supports the Make-A-Wish Foundation by donating services, giving lectures, and providing  screenings in local businesses and community organizations.  For the last two years, Dr. Alboro has sponsored the City Harvest Food Drive by donating chiropractic care in exchange for cans of food during the Thanksgiving season. In the last two years alone, Ideal Health Chiropractic Center has donated over five hundred pounds of food to the City Harvest program.

Ideal Health Chiropractic is conveniently located at the corner of Woodhaven Blvd. and Penelope Ave. directly across the street from Dunkin Donuts. Dr. Alboro works with most insurance companies and also deals with Workers Compensation & Automobile Accident cases. Dr. Alboro has many uninsured patients, and provides budget plans for each of them in order to make necessary care affordable for individuals and families.

Dr. Alboro believes there is a revolution taking place in health care today. Patients are looking for non-drug solutions to problems and more importantly, people are looking for proactive ways to maximize their health and wellness potential. Chiropractic services fit the bill perfectly because of its non-drug and wellness emphasis in health care. Dr. Alboro believes if more people would include a chiropractor on their health care team, their overall expenses on health care would be reduced and their health  and wellness would be greatly enhanced.
