Flooding Juniper Ballfields Get Relief Thanks to Deputy Mayor Rudy Washington

The Juniper Berry has detailed the many problems and difficulties concerning the lower ball fields at Juniper Valley Park.

Finally, when push came to shove, and corrective changes needed to be made in order to insure that our ball fields would be protected and state of the art, Deputy Mayor Rudy Washington came through. The Deputy Mayor has allowed additional funding to insure that proper drainage will be supplied on the two worse fields.

In addition, we have a long term commitment to continue maintenance and his office was instrumental in insuring that all the volunteers that water the grass on a nightly basis and maintain the ball fields have the necessary equipment to do so. A special thanks to Deputy Mayor Rudy Washington and our Mayor, Rudolph Giuliani, whose commitment to quality of life is paying off.
