Led the fight against a Home Depot and secured 6-acre park on the former Elmhurst Gas Tanks site.
Helped secure a change in Zip code for Elmhurst residents to Middle Village, 11379.
Pushed for additional sound barriers on LIE from just east of 69th street to 75 Street.
Successfully fought to have Juniper Valley Park hockey rink built away from nearby homes.
Worked with Councilman Tom Ognibene to oversee the total reconstruction of Juniper Valley Park.
Designed new and current layout for Juniper Upper Ballfields.
Led fight to have 104th Precinct cops pulled from Shea Stadium assignment to get them back in our neighborhood.
Successfully fought for additional police officers for the 104th Precinct.
Through Community Board 5 led the fight to downsized a huge Admiral Avenue development.
Received grant for 69th Street traffic study conducted by Transportation Alternatives.
Forced Con Edison to eliminate dangerous exposed wiring on Middle Village and Maspeth light poles.
Fought the installation of a huge municipal swimming pool in Juniper Valley Park.
Fought the expansion of Silver Barn onto neighborhood streets.
Successfully fought an apartment house proposed next to Our Lady of Hope School.
Fought a homeless shelter on Metropolitan Ave.
Closed parking lot in Juniper Valley Park at Juniper North.
Formed overdevelopment task force to downzone ALL of Maspeth and Middle Village.
Stopped dozens of non-conforming new houses being constructed in Middle Village and Maspeth.
Led fight to downzone the residential area around Resurrection-Ascension School.
Led the fight to successfully stop the Cross Harbor Tunnel Project and Maspeth Intermodal that would bring 16,000 additional trucks into our community.
Led the fight to Save St. Saviour's. Put off demolition of property for 7 months and counting.
JPCA members help maintain Juniper Valley Park.
Formed the Juniper Juniors Civic Association for kids.
Led fight against variance plan for larger Walgreens Store with less parking and no loading dock on Eliot Avenue. Owner must build smaller store.
Helped eliminate truck route from Grand Avenue in new truck management plan.
Forced Fox-TVx to remove offensive billboard on Eliot Avenue near Our Lady of Hope Church.
Co-sponsored 2006 Summer Concerts Series in Juniper Valley Park.
Designed and installed over 150 September 11th Memorial street banners in Middle Village and Maspeth.
Initiated Safe Halloween program where local merchants agree not to sell eggs and shaving cream to minors. Program has been expanded citywide.
Installed maintance garage and safety netting for playground near upper ballfields in Juniper Park.
For over 10 years sponsored the Midville Dodgers youth baseball. In 2006 Midville's 17 and under team won the NABF National Championship.
For over 60 years publishing the Juniper Berry Community Magazine.
