The St. Saviour's parsonage was demolished on Wednesday, December 12th.
St. Saviour's parsonage was demolished on Wednesday, December 12th. Neighbors report that the building was knocked down by a bulldozer in a matter of minutes. This photo was taken December 13th by JPCA President Robert Holden. The building was designed by Richard Upjohn and built in 1849. James Maurice donated the land upon which it sat to the Episcopal Church in 1878. Maspeth Development, LLC applied for the demolition permit on November 28th, the same day they withdrew their application to rezone the property and surrounding homes from M1-1D to R5B.
